On July 23, the tenth session “Education Cup”national advanced mapping technology and innovation of product informationmodeling contest held in LanzhouJiaotongUniversityended. School of constructional engineering team won the first prize inarchitecture category. Among the 14 First prize winners, they are the only teamfrom higher vocational college. Participants Zhou Ziyan, Xia Yan, Cao Fan wonthe first prize of comprehensive competences, Yuan Quan, libiao, Cheng Zhengyongwon the second prizes in architectural hand-painting and model construction.Chen Bin, Cheng Xin, Zhou Yujuan, Lena, 4teachers who Participated in the competition were awarded as outstandinginstructors.
This competition was organized by the Ministryof education in colleges and universities of engineering graphics teachingguidance Committee, Chinese society of graphic Charting Technical Committee andmodeling Professional Committee. It is a national event of the highest level inthis field, known as the Graphics Olympics . The competition isdivided into four categories, namely, machinery, construction, road &bridge,and hydraulic engineering. 444 teams containing 2,913 contestants from Harbin, ChongqingUniversity, WuhanUniversity, hohaiUniversityand other colleges and universities , participated in the game. Competition isbased on the concept of cultivating college students ' ability of engineeringand technology, focused on advanced computer technology, aiming atpopularization of advanced design method among university students and teachersand providing a platform for learning, integration, innovation, andcommunication.
Since the competition applied a unified gamesystem to students of various levels, our contestants competed against manyteams of regular college backgrounds, difficulties should not beunderestimated. Six months before the race, contestants had started the hardtraining, in order not to be left behind the regular college teams.
The tournament was held in Lanzhou,far from Nanjing,our contestants stayed in the train for 20 hours, and entered the gameimmediately off board. After hours of stiff fighting, the contestants finallygot a satisfactory achievement. This achievement once again demonstrates thestudents ' innovation and professional skills, as well as the educationaleffectiveness of the faculty.
