A grand celebration themed on “Singing for the New Era led by the Party” was held at the Yingtian Stadium, on the evening of December 28, right before the New Year’s coming. The Secretary of University Party Committee, Peng Kunming, the Vice-Secretary and President Cui Xinyou, Vice-Secretary and Vice-president Jin Lixia, Vice President Zhang YIbin, Lan Yaming, Niu Yutao and more than 1,600 teachers and students were present and watched the celebration.
The celebration began with Secretary Peng Kunming’s speech. He extended hearted New Year’s wishes to all the staffs and students on behalf of the University Party Committee. He noted “According to the Report of the 19th National Congress, China has come into a new era, the young people are expected to seize the historic opportunity and undertake the mission of the Great Rejuvenation of the Chinese Nation.”
After that, excellent performances of singing, dancing, fashion show and recital etc. were put on by the college students. The audience were all deeply immersed in a happy, encouraging and peaceful atmosphere.
