On January 11, a delegation of five from Guangdong Open University (GDOU) led by Luo Haiou, their Secretary of the Party Committee paid a visit to our university. Peng Kunming, our Secretary of the Party Committee and Niu Yutao, the Vice President of our university met the delegation.
Secretary Peng extended a warm welcome to the delegation, and made an introduction on the history and the integrative development of open education, vocational education, and social education of our university.
Secretary Luo spoke highly of the development and achievements we have made, which he said provided valuable experience and lessons for them. He believed all the open universities in China should work together and cooperate with each other to yield the greatest returns. The two parties had a further discussion on issues of institution setting, teachers’ construction, talents training, and students enrolling, etc.
Feng Guogang, Director of the Personnel Department attended the meeting as well.
