On September 27 and 28, the second JSOU Students’ Skills Competition was successfully held in Wuzhong city. 76 students of 18 teams from the branch schools of JSOU and JSCVC participated in the Mechanic CAD and CNC Lathe projects.
Zhang Guoying, President of Wuzhong Open University delivered a welcome speech at the opening ceremony. She introduced the achievements of Wuzhong Open University in recent years and the preparation job for this year’s competition. Qian Qi, director of JSOU Division of Education highly appreciated Wuzhong Open University and other branch schools for their participation and support of the competition, and made recommendations on further strengthening practical teaching and skills competitions. Meanwhile, he encouraged students to take an active part in technical training and improve their operational ability. Finally, he expected all the participants demonstrate serious manners, outstanding skills, good friendship and high spirit. The opening ceremony was hosted by Li Chengjing, the chief of practical teaching section.
The competition began on the afternoon of the 27th, the committee engaged experts from related fields and 10 instructors selected through random lottery as referees, supervising the process of competition and making sure the justice of the competition.
The competition was closed on the afternoon of 28th, Qian Qi made a comprehensive summery of the competition, expressing his gratitude to Wuzhong Open University for successfully hosting the competition, congratulating the winners, and highly evaluating the adult learners for their participation. He encouraged the students to take the skill competition as an opportunity to strengthen their study and skill training and make more achievements.
