Teachers from JSOU Attend 32nd Annual Conference of AAOU and Win Silver Prize of “Youth Innovation” Award

The 32nd Annual Conference of AAOU was held from October 24 to 26 in Hanoi, Vietnam. More than 500 experts and scholars from 23 countries and districts were present at the conference. A delegation of 3 teachers led by Zhang Xuan, the director of Credit Bank of JSOU attended the conference.

The theme of the conference is “Open Education in Recourse Development in Asia’s Period of Integration”. At the opening ceremony, keynote speeches entitled “New Technology of Open Education”, “The Development of Human Resources and Life-long Learning”, and “Development of Technology, Career, and Skills in Open Education” were respectively made by Chairman of the Conference, Prof. Melinda Dala Pena, Chairman of COL, Prof. Asha Singh Kanwar and UNESXO Chair-in charge of Open education Recourses, Prof. Roy McGreal. Former Chairman of ICDE, Prof. Tian Belawah, Chairman of Hanoi University Council, Prof. Nguyen Mai Huong and Dean of Research Center of Hong Kong Open University, Dr. Likam Cheong made plenary speeches entitled “Asian Education Integration and Open Education.” “Human Resources Integration of Open Education in Developmental Period of Asia”, and “Development and Opportunities of Open Education Human Resources”. 

Wang Yan and Li Hongmei, two teachers from JSOU submitted their essays. After strict review, Wang Yan’s essay “Application of Micro Lessons in Open Education —— A Case Study of Oral English Interpretation Course” won the Silver Prize of “Youth Innovation” Award.
