On October 28, the 20th Vocational Skills Competition of Beauty Industry was successfully held on Yingtian Campus of JSOU. The competition was sponsored by Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Jiangsu Province, Jiangsu Commerce Department, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, and Jiangsu Federation of Trade Union, and co-sponsored by JSOU, Jiangsu Association of Cosmetology and Hairdressing. A total of 1,067 competitors from all over Jiangsu Province participated in the competition and strove for the medals of 14 projects. Zhang Xiao, Vice President of JSOU was present and delivered a speech.
More than 100 experts from the beauty industry worked as judges, and entrepreneurs from more than 100 businesses attended the awarding ceremony.
The competition consisted of sections of hairdressing, artistic making-up, and costume styling. Students from Schools of Health and Retirement Education in JSOU, with their excellent talents and skills, won gold medals of projects such as bridal making-up, creative making-up, and manicure. JSOU ranked the top of the winners'list.
Wang Jian, president of Jiangsu Association of Cosmetology and Hairdressing presented the Award of Special Contribution to JSOU and highly evaluated the performance and achievements of related courses of JSOU and their nationwide influences.
