On December 5, the final of 6th College Students’ Debate Contest was successfully closed on Yingtian Campus. Vice President Jin Lixia and leaders from each school and department, as well as more than 300 teachers and students observed the contest.
The theme of the contest was “Youth Contending”. Seven teams debated on three topics —— “Can or Cannot Sweep the World If Not First Sweep a House”, “Have a Job or Choose a Job”, and “Morality or Law? Which Works to Enhance Citizens' Quality?”
A heated debate competing for the title went between the School of International Education (pro) and Business School (con), and Business School finally won the competition.
Doctor Xie Dongbing made comments on the teams’ performance from the perspective of interpreting themes, giving proofs and art of argumentation, and hoped for better performance next year.
