Invited by Dr. Deb Adair, CEO of QM Company, a quality-guarantee organization of online education in the US, a delegation led by Qian Qi, director of Education Division in JSOU went to the US and attended the QM quality guarantee conference held in Berkeley College, New York on April 24.
With the same notion on online teaching quality guarantee, JSOU is one of the earliest open universities which obtain the membership of QM System. The delegation had a negotiation with QM Company on the cooperation issues such as establishing the quality guarantee system of online education in China, specifying the cooperation programs of standard application, staffs training, and courses assessing, and making preparations for signing cooperation agreement.
With its QM courses assessment standard, QM Company provides quality guarantee service for online education, teachers’ training courses, and courses assessment. It has served more than 1,100 colleges and institutes in United States and 8 other countries, provided training programs for more than 65,000 teachers, and reviewed and assessed more than 7,000 online courses. It sets up QM Membership Alliance for Higher Education in China, and has cooperation with Fudan University, Shandong University, Central China Normal University and Hanzhou Quantum University on courses construction.
