After investigating universities in Nanjing, Suzhou, and Wuhan, JSOU made the last-stop investigation of new campus Information construction in Guandong province. This investigation focused on new campus Informatization and smart classrooms construction.
In Dongguan Songshan Lake base of Huawei company, the team of Information Construction Department and Infrastructure Construction Department of JSOU visited Xiliubeipo village which was praised as “town of Europe”. The manager in charge of the development of Smart Town introduced the construction and solution of the Smart Town. By using ICT technologies of 5G, AI, cloud-computation, internet of things and mobile connection etc., the smart town solved the problems of poor service, weak security, low running efficiency, high management cost and slow innovation, etc., and provided customers with good service experience, and helped them fulfill innovative development with digital transformation.
In Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen campus), the team visited its campus, network center and multi-media classrooms, and had communication with directors of info-tech service department and campus development department. The information construction of CUHK (SZ) aimed at providing super service to teachers and students. They didn’t blindly go after new technology plans but use mature and reliable technology provided by first-class manufacturers domestic and abroad and created advanced campus information environment.
In South China Normal University (SCNU), they visited the newly built smart classrooms which covered 2,000 square meters and consisted 10 classrooms based on teaching scenarios, including innovation and business start-up classroom, course recording and broadcasting classroom, innovative and try-on classroom, multi-campuses interactive classroom, and general education curriculum classroom. Each classroom focused on supporting teaching, respecting the experience of users, improving quality, and building a high-quality learning environment.
The investigation deepened our understanding of information construction of new campus. The experience of building smart classrooms gave us enlightenment in the construction of new campus.
