On June 14, vice president of San Francisco State College Dr. Wu Yanbo visited JSOU, and had symposium with teachers of related professions. Vice president of JSOU Wang Wei presided the symposium.
Dr, Wu made a report themed “Comparison, Communication, and Cooperation of Sino-US Higher Education”. He compared the internationalization, core ideas, and system construction of higher education in both countries, and elaborated on the purpose, contents and means of the internalization of the US, and analyzed the challenges of Sino-US higher education cooperation. After the report, teachers communicated with Dr. Wu on issues like hierarchy of American education, low graduation rate of American universities, government’s interference with higher education, liberal education, influence of policies on education, etc.
