On Octobor 14 to 17, Cui Xinyou, President of JSOU had a field investigation on the construction of high level teaching staff in Huai’an Open University, Lianshui Open University and some functional departments and secondary schools.
In Huai’an Open University, Cui Xinyou had a discussion with the leaders of Huai’an Education Department and Huai’an Open University on how to optimize the teaching staff team, enhance the staff’s ability of teaching and conducting scientific research, and construct the teaching platform for the Open University system. Cui Xinyou spoke highly of the performance of subsidiary open universities in a transformation period, and expected Huai’an Open University to develop a duplicable operation mode by following the integrated development plan, making advantages of available resources, building a research team and setting up a shared platform. Afterwards, Cui Xinyou, as well as directors of related departments inspected the infrastructure construction of the new campus of Huai’an Open University and the teaching facilities construction of Lianshui Open University.
When having a symposium with directors of functional departments and secondary schools, Cui Xinyou pointed that talents were the key and top priority of university development. Prospective research on high level talents development are urgently to be carried out. More excellent talents are needed to be attracted and join JSOU and system of talents introduction needs to be perfected.
