On October 26, the first “Phoenix Cup” Staff Table Tennis Match was held on Yingtian Campus. More than 200 staff members attended the competition. Wang Jianming, Party Secretary of JSOU announced the opening of the event. Cui Xinyou, the president delivered a speech.
According to Cui, table tennis is a national sport, and is popular among staff members. The match is held to strengthen the tie and promote communication among staffs, so as to integrate all strengths and efforts to construct a high level open university. He hopes all the staff members to follow the spirit of sportsmanship, and observe the spirit in routine work by overcoming difficulties and achieving higher goals.
The intense competition went in a friendly, fair, and orderly atmosphere, and won applause and cheers from audience. After fierce competition, winning teams and winners of women’s singles and men’s singles were awarded with cups and medals.
