On November 7, Sun Hongwu, director of Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences(JSAAS) led a delegation to JSOU, seeking further cooperation on vocational education and agriculture education. Zhang Xiao, vice president of JSOU presided the meeting with the delegation. Directors from HR Department, Education Department, Science and Technology Department and Resources Construction Center attended the meeting.
Sun Hongwu first introduced the New Agricultural Academy established in April and the cultivation of agricultural talents in Jiangsu.
Zhang Xiao sang high praise for the efforts of JSAAS in targeted poverty reduction, rural revitalization, agricultural talents education and rural problems solution. In addition, she introduced the situation of featured colleges in JSOU, discipline construction, blended teaching, quality control and credit banking. She also proposed that online courses and VR technology be applied in agricultural education, and teaching network meet the demand of rural revitalization strategy by educating and serving people in different fields.
Then both sides had a further discussion about cooperation of constructing agricultural courses, technical personnel training, education supermarket, degree education, training programs, recreational agriculture and scientific programs etc. A new mode of agricultural technical personnel training and rural revitalization will be explored and studied by JSOU and JSAAS in the future. Afterwards, Sun Hongwu visited the All-media Production Center of JSOU, and had a basic knowledge of teaching resources construction and TV program production.
