On November 22, Zijin Award (China. Nanjing) College Students’ Design Exhibition was held in Xinzhuang International Exhibition Center.
35 works of JSOU, selected from School of Design, School of Art, School of Environmental Ecology, and School of Architectural Engineering were submitted to the exhibition. The series design of “Family of Eaves Tiles” by School of Design stood out from the 300 shortlisted works and won the first prize of the most popular award. JSOU was awarded for the effucient organization work. Vice president Jin Lixia attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
Zijin Award is supervised by China Association of Higher Education, Propaganda Department of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, Jiangsu Education Department, Taiwan Affairs Office of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, and Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee. This exhibition is themed with “Originality Makes Youth Better”, and a big event for young design talents. It’s reported that up to 12,356 pieces of art, in seven categories of visual design, architectural and environmental design, product design, apparel and accessory design, public art, arts and crafts design and digital media art (including animation works) were submitted by Central Academy of Fine Arts, Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University and other one hundred well-known colleges and universities. The exhibition highlights professional thinking, audience’s way of thinking, and way of communication, and serves as a bond to promote the communication of creative culture, enhance the level of education, integrate business and teaching, incubate fine-quality projects and cultivate the new generation of cultural and creative design.
