The 28th International Council of Open and Distance Education (ICDE) was held from November 3 to 7 in Dublin, Ireland. More than 1,200 experts, scholars and distance education specialists from 95 countries attended the conference. Zhang Zhihui, Liu Weiyan, Xu Ling and Zhu Yanfei from JSOU, were invited to attend the conference after their thesis papers had been carefully reviewed.
There are 7 sessions of the conference —— revolution of online teaching; reconstruct the future of online distance education; extended permission, openness and flexibility; innovative learning design for students; new open access for lifelong learning; new business mode changing the world; global challenge and solution. Liu Weiyan, Xu Ling, and Zhu Yanfei delivered respective speeches entitled “Research on Distance Education Based on Mobile Learning：Taking the Course of Electric and Electronic Technology in JSOU as an Example”, “Quality Guarantee Study of Open Universities Based on Survey of Students’ satisfaction”.
