On November 11 to 15, a delegation of three teachers led by Huang Yilan, deputy director of School of Art went to South Korea and visited Honam University (HU), Eulji University(EU) and Chongju University(CU). The delegation exchanged opinions deeply and widely with the universities on issues of talents cultivation, faculty construction, scientific research, and practical training, etc.

In Honam University, the delegation attended the opening ceremony of “2019 Practical Training Project for Students from School of Arts in JSCVC” and visited the four students who were learning Korean language in HU. After the ceremony, the delegation exchanged ideas with the leaders and teachers of Department of National Cooperation and Communication, and Department of Cosmetics and Hairdressing in HU on curriculum design, practical training and faculty exchange, and reached an initial agreement on inviting the faculty team from HU to have workshop in JSOU.

In Eulji University, both sides had a discussion on talents cultivation plan and the next-phased exchange project, and the delegation invited the faculty of EU to visit JSOU.

In Chongju University, the delegation focused on discipline construction of drama and opera, and CU’s teaching achievements which could be a model for JSOU in constructing similar disciplines and courses.

The delegation’s visit brought new possibilities for School of Arts in setting up new international exchange projects, and set the foundation for international cooperation and communication in wider ranges.
