On December 5 to 6, 2019 Scientific Research Conference of Open University of China (OUC) was held in Haikou City, Hainan Province. President of JSOU, Cui Xinyou was invited to make a keynote speech entitled “Exploring the Development Path for Constructing High-level Open Universities by Carrying out Scientific Researches”.
President Cui’s speech focused on three aspects: seeking accurate niche for open universities and fully realize the significance of scientific research to the construction of open universities; exploring the development path for open universities and revitalize open universities with our wisdom; envisage the gap and stay true to our mission of carrying out scientific researches. He introduced the measures and achievements of scientific researches of JSOU, and put forward blueprints for the future development.
The year of 2019 is the 40th anniversary of the founding of OUC. In order to award those outstanding talents who have made special achievements in scientific research and cultivate new generation of academic researchers, OUC set up “Scientific Research Contribution Award” and “Young Academic Scholars Award”. Professor Ji He, a researcher of Institute of Education Science and Dr. Yuan Wei from School of Architectural Engineering of JSOU were awarded.
