On December 12, the Achievement Exhibition of Aging Education and Social Education of JSOU was held in Jinling Library. The Exhibition was co-held by Art School of JSOU, Social Education Department of JSOU, Management Center of Credit Bank and Jinling Library, and it was also a part of the celebration of 40 years’ founding of JSOU. Present at the ceremony were Wang Guopei, party secretary of Jiangsu Education Department (JSED), Shen Xiaodong, director of Department of Language and Continuous Education of JSED, Cui Xinyou, president of JSOU, Wu Zhongning, vice president of JSOU, as well as well-known performing artists from Nanjing University and Nanjing University of Arts, and the elderly college students.
Cui Xinyou addressed to the elderly students, encouraging them to keep curiosity and desire for learning, enjoy learning, enrich their life with arts and knowledge, and keep enthusiasm and young mind. Huang Yilan, deputy director from Art School of JSOU granted the appointment certificate of distinguished professors to Professor Jin Dan, famous calligrapher from Nanjing University of Arts, Professor Xie Bai from Nanjing University, and famous calligrapher, Tai Jin, and wished them to continue to support and help the development of Art School.
The Exhibition was announced open by Cui Xinyou. The average age for the students was about 70 years old. Their artistic attainments in Chinese calligraphy, painting and photographing gained high praise from the experts and audience. The experts made professional comments on the displayed works, and gave valuable suggestions.
