On December 16, School of Foreign Languages held the Tryouts for 2020 Jiangsu Practical English Speaking Contest which is a part of Jiangsu Province Vocational Students Skills Competition was by.
All together 130 students participated in the tryouts. They had to go through two sections, reading a passage and describing a picture, and then were assessed on their intonation, pronunciation, fluency and stage performance.
After intense competition, five students won the first prize, ten students won the second, fifteen the third. The winners will participate the 2020 Jiangsu Vocational Students Skills Competition on behalf of JSOU.
