On November 27, School of Art held Doctor Forum on Research of Traditional Operas. Professor Qiao Guanghui from Southeast University, Professor Bai Yun from Nanjing University, as well as doctors from Nanjing University attended the forum.
Professor Qiao Guanghui made a lecture entitled “On Projects Application and Studies of Opera Images”, sharing his experience of applying projects of National Social Science Fund. Professor Bai Yun made a report on “Status Quo of Opera Studies in 1998-2018”, introducing the hotspots of Chinese operas research in recent 20 years. Zhou Peng and other doctors shared their thesis papers on Chinese literatures, dramas and operas, and introduced the results of their research in opera performance and drama scripts.
After the forum, faculty of School of Art had heated discussion with experts and doctors, and gained a better understanding in application for advanced fund projects and carrying out research on Chinese traditional operas.
