On November 20, the Closing Ceremony for 2019 Reading Festival was held on Yingtian Campus. Vice president Wang Wei, directors from Propaganda Department, Youth League Committee and secondary schools as well as more than 300 students were present at the ceremony. Doctor Xie Dongbing, the chief librarian presided over the ceremony.
Wang Wei said in his speech that the festival this year themed with “Reading Classics and Strengthening Cultural Confidence” has become a big event of JSOU. Our generation are inheritors and creators of Chinese culture and civilization. Inheriting culture is a way of developing civilization.
Dr. Xie Dongbing summarized the reading festival, and called on more faculty and students to read in the library. He also gave a lecture to students on their learning, working and conducting behaviors by citing famous quotes of Xi Jinping, President of PRC, and wished the college students to have command of professional knowledge, self-learning capacity and people skills.
