On January 16, JSOU signed an agreement on collaborative construction with Normal College of Changzhou Institute of Technology (CIT) on Dinghuaimen Campus. Party Secretary Wang Jianming, Secretary of Committee for Discipline Inspection Gu Xinhua, vice president Zhang Xiao, and vice president of CIT Zhang Bing attended the ceremony. Directors from Discipline Construction Department, Resources Construction Center, School of Education and teachers representatives were present as well. The ceremony was presided over by Gu Xinhua.
Wang Jianming delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the university, claiming that JSOU was to learn from CIT that has rich experiences of discipline construction and cooperation with enterprises and government. He also introduced JSOU’s features in integrating modern information technology with teaching. Wang Jianming believed that with an extensive foundation for working together, the two parties enjoy a very bright and promising prospect for collaboration. He wished a success for the cooperation by fulfilling and strengthening the advantages of both universities.
Zhang Xiao introduced the development，management mechanism, teaching modes, faculties building, and discipline construction of JSOU, as well as the advantages and achievements of online courses construction. She stressed the significance of pre-school education and the shortage of talents in this field, which led to the opportunity for both universities to work together and bring their advantages into full play. She wished further cooperation of the two universities in discipline construction, faculties training, talents cultivation, and practice bases.
Zhang Bing introduced the school scale, teaching staff, featured specialties, and the path of quality development of CIT. He had confidence in the cooperation with JSOU.
Then, representatives from both universities signed cooperation agreement with the witnesses of all people present.
After the agreement signing, the delegation of CIT visited the broadcasting hall of JSOU, and a teacher representative had a trial recording.
At last, Tang Rong, director of Discipline Construction Department introduced the requirements of courses production. Teachers of two universities had further detailed communication on specific issues.
