On the morning of March 19, JSOU carried out a covid-19 epidemic emergency response drill on Yingtian campus to further standardize and strengthen covid-19 epidemic prevention and control, improve the school’s prevention and emergency response capacity, and make the epidemic prevention and control work more precise and efficient. Cui Xinyou, deputy secretary of the party committee and president of JSOU, served as the general director of the drill. Jin Lixia, deputy secretary of the party committee and vice president, Wang Wei, member of the standing committee and vice president, and Niu Yutao, member of the standing committee and vice president participated in the drill.

This practical exercise mainly stimulated the whole process of dealing with the emergent cases with abnormal body temperature during the enrollment period and school life. The scenarios included emergency preparedness, outbreak detection and reporting, patient referral, isolation, on-site sterilizing, and disposal of medical waste. School leaders, directors of relevant departments and faculty members participated in the stimulation exercise. The whole process of the drill, with clear division of labor, quick action and appropriate measures, was smooth and orderly, and accumulated experience for the emergency response of epidemic prevention and control before the students’ returning to school.

Cui Xinyou commented on the exercise. He said that the prevention and control of the epidemic is the top priority of the school, and a major part of the response to the epidemic, and decides whether we can win the battle against the epidemic. JSOU should carry out the drills repeatedly and optimize the exercise plan continuously to ensure the implementation of the preparatory work for the new semester. He asked all departments and colleges to find out problems in time and carefully investigate possible loopholes through the exercise.
