On April 9th, JSOU held the first scientific research working conference on Dinghuaimen Campus. President Cui Xinyou spoke at the meeting, and vice president Wu Guanglin presided over the meeting. The conference reviewed the progress of scientific research projects conducted by JSOU during the epidemic period, and defined the direction and focus of the work in the new semester.
Cui Xinyou fully affirmed the big leap made in scientific research work last year, and wished the researchers to boost their confidence, seize the opportunity, clarify their goals to promote the scientific research to a higher level. He requested each school stick to the indicators of the 13th five-year plan and the goal of “scientific research to revitalize the university” proposed by the second party congress of JSOU, optimize the incentive mechanism and fully mobilize more teachers who are willing and capable to conduct higher-level scientific research.
Wu Guanglin put forward six key tasks of this semester: to complete the application of more high-level projects, and take multiple measures to improve the quality of scientific research work; to resort to the alumni to facilitate the new development of industry-university-research cooperation; to lay a good foundation for breakthrough by analyzing and positioning the development path; to refine and improve the scientific research management system of each secondary school; to attach importance to enrollment of talents; to examine the progress of scientific research targets set by the 13th five-year plan and strive to complete them by end of 2020.
At the meeting, the secondary schools reported their progress of scientific research work during the epidemic period and their work plans of this semester. Relevant departments deployed related work in the new semester.
