On June 12, Zhuang Cheng, vice president of Jiangsu Jiaokong University led a delegation of five to JSOU to negotiate issues of cooperation. Zhang Xiao, vice president of JSOU welcomed the delegation and presided over the meeting. Directors from Education Department, Discipline Construction Department, Credit Bank, and School of Foreign Languages attended the meeting.
Zhuang Cheng introduced Jiangsu Jiaokong University, a business-running university affiliated to Jiangsu Communications Holding Co., Ltd, offering training and degree education to more than 30 thousand employees of the company. Jiangsu Communications Holding Co., Ltd serves as a provincial level financing platform for major transportation infrastructure projects in Jiangsu Province, including investing and financing the construction of highways, railways, airports, and harbors, and it regulates 33 enterprises and public institutions.
Both parties negotiated in details on recruiting students, constructing and serving online courses, joining in credit bank, etc., and decided on the majors to cooperate basing on analysis of employees’ needs.
Zhang Xiao introduced the development and features of JSOU, indicating that JSOU strives to build a flyover system of lifelong learning in Jiangsu Province based on “two platforms and one bridge”. With an open mind, and attitude of mutually benefiting, JSOU will promote the cooperation with Jiaokong university in depth and in an effective and efficient way.
