On July 6, the graduation ceremony of JSOU/JSCVC was held on Yingtian Campus, and was live broadcast to sub-venues. Wang Jianming, Party secretary of JSOU, Cui Xinyou, president of JSOU and Qian Jin, vice president of Jiangsu Normal University were present at the main venue. All the other university leaders, directors from administrative departments, deans from schools, head teachers of graduate students, representatives of teachers, tutors, alumni, as well as 7926 students of branch open universities and 2007 students of the main campus attended the ceremony on line. The ceremony was presided over by Jin Lixia, deputy Party secretary and vice president of JSOU.
President Cui Xinyou gave a lecture in which he highly praised the graduates’ progress they made with their diligence and perseverance, and wished the students to applied the knowledge and skills they acquired at college to solve problems at work, to benefit the society and to make contribution to the nation. He also wished the students to keep lifelong learning, learning from work, from other people, from life, and make learning a way of life. JSOU will go on serving as a “gas station” to reenergize their life with open opportunities to learn.
Vice presidents Zhang Yibin and Zhang Xiao bestowed certificates of honor to representatives of excellent graduates. Vice president You Jiachun and Wang Wei bestowed certificates to the alumni liaisons. Secretary of Discipline Inspection Committee, Gu Xinhua and vice president Zhang Xiao bestowed certificates to the graduate students representatives. All the university leaders turned the tassel for the bachelors and bestowed certificates of degree.
Qian Qi, director of Department of Teaching Affaires transferred the list of graduate students to Liu Tao, director of Alumni Association, which symbolized the graduate students’ identification was transferred from students to alumni.
Wu Mingqing, who is now studying for Master’s Degree in Nanjing Tech University gave a speech as the representative of alumni, encouraging the students to keep learning and pursue their dreams.
Zhang Shuangshuang, the national scholarship winner from Business School shared her happiness of receiving the undergraduate admission notice from JSOU, which enabled her to work and learn at the same time.
