On November 23, Lu Chuanyi, Secretary of Party committee of Shandong University of Technology (SUT) was invited by JSOU to share the experience of exploring the integration of universities and the local government and enterprises, which opened up a way for JSOU to better carry out the “Three-Zone Linkage” project (Pukou Development Zone – Community – University Cooperation).
In his lecture, Lu mainly shared how SUT has promoted the cooperation with local government and enterprises through the establishment of regulations and systems, and the co-construction of research platform with government and enterprises. He also introduced the general situation and the overall reform and development of SUT. According to him, SUT vigorously implemented the “talent priority strategy” and put the teaching staff construction as its top priority project, which promoted the high-quality development of the university. Lu’s report has brought profound enlightenment to JSOU in promoting the “Three-Zone Linkage” project and set a good example.
Wang Jianming, Secretary of the Party committee of JSOU, pointed out in his concluding speech that we should conscientiously study and implement the spirit the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, deeply understand the spiritual connotation of the report of the second party congress, and promote the “Three-Zone Linkage” project through practice. Relevant departments should fully study the lecture and actively connect with the relevant parties in Pukou District, and provide opportunities and support for teachers and schools to cooperate with Pukou District.
President Cui Xinyou said that the development experience of SUT has set a model for our “Three-Zone Linkage” project. He pointed that, on the one hand, we should make clear our objectives, strengthen our confidence, systematically study the example of SUT, and make up minds to promote the integration of university and Jiangbei New Area, and strive to highlight the results in five years; on the other hand, we should refine the tasks, improve the mechanism, and integrate the “Three-Zone Linkage” into the 14th five-year plan.
