From September 19th to 30th, 2020 Jiangsu Vocational Students Skills Competition for higher vocational colleges was held in various colleges among Jiangsu. JSOU sent 38 contestants to participate 12 events and 3 contestants won the second prize and 4 won the third prize.
Jiangsu Vocational Students Skills Competition is the highest skill competition event of vocational education in Jiangsu. JSOU instantly organized teams and contestants as soon as it received the competition note. Due to the influence of the pandemic, skills competition of 2020 had delayed twice. Dean’s office and schools concerned arranged and coordinated during the preparation process, in terms of changing contestants, training for the competition and providing integrated logistics support.
Since students were unable to train on campus during the pandemic, tutors worked and trained them online. The perfect cooperation between tutors and students laid solid foundation for the competition and eventually JSOU won outstanding achievements.
Vocational students skills competition is always seen as the touchstone of education quality for vocational colleges. The outstanding achievements JSOU won shows not only the solid professional skills and excellent professional quality of JSOU students, but also the splendid teaching level of JSOU teachers. JSOU will keep encouraging teaching through competition, study through competition, reforming through competition and combining competition with teaching, deepen reform in practical teaching and improve the quality of talents’ training.
