On the morning of April 16, the 7th JSOU Student Sports Meeting and Staff Sports Meeting was held on campus. JSOU leaders, Wang Jianming, Cui Xinyou, Jin Lixia, Zhang Yibin, Wu Guanglin, You Jiachun, Wu Zhongning, Wang Wei, Niu Yutao and Zhang Xiao attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was presided over by Jin Lixia, deputy secretary of JSOU Party Committee and vice president of JSOU.

Cui Xinyou, president of JSOU delivered the opening speech. In his speech he said that the sports meeting was a comprehensive physical education class for teachers and students to have fun together. All teachers and students should respond to General Secretary Xi's call of enjoying fun, strengthening physique, having healthy personality and tempering will. Athletes should better carry forward the sports spirit of higher, faster and stronger. Referees should judge objectively, fairly and accurately. All teachers and students should get moving and high, creating a good atmosphere for sports. He hoped all the teachers and students would be healthy and happy to work hard, celebrating the centennial of CPC with outstanding achievements.
Zhao Jianhua, the referee’s representative, and Zhou Ya, the athlete’s representative vowed in public to abide by the competition discipline and ensure the competition would be fair and smooth.
At the opening ceremony, 11 representative teams marched into the stadium with their neat steps and clear slogans. Young teachers and students from East Dinghuaimen campus gave the flash performance named Gift of the Youth. The touching melody and singing expressed the wholehearted support and firm belief for CPC. Students from Yingtian campus prepared the group gymnastics performance named Happy Together with China, which expressed their patriotism and love for CPC in a joyful way.
On the morning of April 17, the closing ceremony was held as scheduled. Vice presidents of JSOU, such as Jin Lixia, Zhang Yibin, Wang Wei and Zhang Xiao attended the ceremony. Members of the organizing committee of the sports meeting, some teachers and all athletes attended as well. The closing ceremony was presided over by vice president Zhang Yibin. Jin Lixia delivered the closing speech. Zhang Xiao read the list of winning teams of excellent organization award, sports morality and fashion award and special contribution award. JSOU leaders presented medals to the winning teams.
