On March 31, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education held a video conference on student financial aid in 2021. Pan Man, deputy director general of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, and Zhou Yajun, director of Finance Department of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education attended the conference. Zhang Xiaoning, director of Student Financial Aid Management Center of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, presided over the conference. JSOU set up a parallel session in the conference room on Dinghuaimen campus. Jin Lixia, deputy secretary of JSOU Party Committee and vice president of JSOU, heads and teachers from departments concerned attended the conference.
Pan Man summarized the achievements of student financial aid work in Jiangsu during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, put forward some questions in view of the shortcomings in current job and pointed out that departments should grasp the new situation and find new orientation in fulfilling the job. He raised 5 key tasks for student financial aid in 2021. Firstly, the system for financial aid should be implemented. Secondly, the policies should be kept stable and continuous. Thirdly, all the financial aid services should focus on students. Fourthly, modes for financial aid should be renewed. Lastly, the level of financial support should be elevated.
Zhou Yajun analyzed and summarized the current funding situation from the financial aspect, and put forward 3 requirements, including more convenient verification process, more accurate funding distribution and more caring in fulfilling routines.
After the conference, Jin Lixia stressed that Student Affairs Office and all schools should learn and lecture the requirements and implement the financial aid accordingly.
