On April 27th, Qinghai Provincial Party Committee, Qinghai Provincial Government and the Ministry of Education held a meeting in Xining on the 10th anniversary of education assistance for Qinghai. Cui Xinyou, JSOU president, was invited to attend the meeting on behalf of JSOU.
General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition on education and important speeches on partner assistance were studied during the meeting. The spirits of the Seventh Central Committee Symposium on Tibet were implemented, main achievements and experience of education assistance to Qinghai in the past decade were summarized, and key tasks for education assistance to Qinghai in the 14th Five-Year Plan period were arranged.
Xin Changxing, deputy secretary of the CPC Qinghai Provincial Committee and Governor of Qinghai Province and Sun Yao, member of the Party Group of Ministry of Education and vice minister of Ministry of Education attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Wu Xiaojun, deputy secretary of the CPC Qinghai Provincial Committee, chaired the meeting. Liu Tao, vice governor of Qinghai Province, reported on the achievements in education assistance to Qinghai. Leaders from partner assistance regions, partner assistance universities and local governments delivered their speeches. 10 agreements on a new round of partner assistance were signed at the meeting.
On April 28th, Cui Xinyou was invited to attend the opening ceremony of Qinghai Open University. He signed two agreements with Qinghai Open University and Hainan (Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture) Radio and TV University on behalf of JSOU. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, JSOU will assist QHOU and Hainan Radio and TV University in the construction of characteristic majors, teaching resources, scientific research, talent training and information construction, and support the transformation and development of QHOU.
In November 2017, in order to implement the tasks specified in the Framework Agreement on Education Exchange and Cooperation between Jiangsu and Qinghai Provincial Department of Education, JSOU and Qinghai Radio and TV University officially signed a partner assistance agreement. In the past 3 years, JSOU has devoted a good deal of attention to build a long-term, effective and sustainable assistance relationship, increase the support on talents and educational resources, strive to provide talent support for Qinghai Radio and TV University and for the economic and social transformation of Qinghai as well. At present, the cooperation between JSOU and QHOU has been carried out continuously and achieved preliminary results.
