On May 31, the opening ceremony of "2021 Graduation Design Exhibition of Jiangsu Open University" was successfully held in the Cultural Center of Jiangbei New District, Nanjing.More than 300 staff of Jiangbei New Area Cultural Center and teachers and students of Jiangsu Open University attended the activity, including Wang Jianming, Party Committee Secretary of Jiangsu Open University, and Party Standing Committee Member；Wu Guanglin, Wu Zhongning, Wang Wei, Vice Presidents and Party Standing Committee Members；Gu Xinhua, Member of the Standing Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection； Vice President Zhang Xiao; Li Yun, Deputy Minister and Deputy Inspector of the Propaganda United Front Work Department of Nanjing Jiangbei New District; Ye Lisheng, Party Committee Secretary of Nanjing Vocational College of Science and Technology; Yang Yugui, Vice Chairman of Nanjing Jiangbei New District Literature Federation and Chairman of Nanjing Jiangbei New District Artists Association; Huang Xiaobai, Vice President and master tutor of Wuxi Jiangnan Film and Television College; Chen Guo, Director of Nanjing Jiangbei New District Cultural Center; Zhu Jianrong, Dean of Art and Design School, Nanjing Vocational College of Science and Technology, etc.
At the opening ceremony, Wang Wei, vice President of Jiangsu Open University, thanked the Jiangbei New District Cultural Center for their strong support.He said that inspired by the struggle of the Communist Party of China in the past one hundred years, students eulogized the new era, created works that meet social needs and design aesthetic. This year's graduation works exhibition not only shows the results of teaching, but also invites more attention to the integration and interaction with the society and enterprises. Through the interaction, the exhibition will further promote the cooperation among community, university and enterprises, improve the quality of talent training and serve the local cultural needs.
Li Yun, Deputy Minister of Propaganda United Front Work Department of Jiangbei New District, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. First of all, she extended warm congratulations to the success of the exhibition! As a full-time student who graduated from Jiangsu Radio and Television University in 1986, she is sincerely proud of the achievements of her Alma mater’s high-quality development and transformation. With an introduction of the District’s geographical location, development positioning, industrial structure, as well as the development strategy of integrating science, technology and industry, she welcomed students to Jiangbei New District to start businesses, have social practice and challenge themselves.
At the opening ceremony, teachers and students from School of Design majoring in radio and television production performed poetry recitation. Leaders, guests, teachers and students visited the exhibition hall together after the ceremony.
