From July 24 to 26, the 14th Higher Education Cup National College Students Advanced Mapping and Product Information Modeling Innovation Contest was successfully held. The contest, which was jointly hosted by Cartographic Technology Committee and Product Information Modeling Committee from China Graphics Society and Southwest Jiaotong University, was co-hosted by Higher Education Press, China Machine Press and Huawei Cloud. 5 students from JSOU School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, under the guidance of JSOU teachers, won one Second Prize, three Third Prizes in individual all-round competition in architecture and won one Third Prize in the team competition.
Advanced Mapping and Product Information Modeling Innovation Contest is a high-level national contest in the field of graphics, which has been held for 14 consecutive years since 2008. The contest is divided into 4 major categories, namely machinery, architecture, water conservancy and road and bridge, attracting over 6,743 constants from 551 universities across the country. As it is still in the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control period, the contest was held online this year.
The excellent results achieved by JSOU demonstrate the innovation ability, professional skills and team spirit of students from School of Civil Engineering and Architecture. Meanwhile, attending all kinds of competitions promotes the reform and innovation of fostering application-oriented talents, improves the teaching quality and competitive strength of School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, and achieves the effect of Promoting Learning through Competition.
