On September 1st, China Social Science Today published a theoretical article entitled Strengthening Grassroots Team Building and Helping Rural Revitalization, written by JOUS president Cui Xinyou in its special column Building a New Pattern of Grassroots Social Governance.
China Social Science Today is a large-scale theoretical and academic newspaper, sponsored by Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and under the direct administration of Social Sciences in China Press. It is the first national theoretical and academic newspaper since the founding of communist China.
Cui Xinyou’s article points out that the rural grassroots cadres are the key to promote the rural revitalization strategy and take the last kilometer. Rural revitalization is inseparable from the strong leadership of grassroots CPC organizations and the devotion of grassroots cadres. Only by constantly strengthening the construction of grassroot official team can the organizational strength of grassroots Party organizations be prompted and maximized.
The article also stresses that to promote coordinated development between urban and rural areas and between regions, fully implement the rural vitalization strategy, and effectively link the achievements of poverty alleviation and rural vitalization, the government must utilize the CPC institutional arrangements and command system, and improve the capacity of community-level governance.
