On September 9th and 10th, as the 37th Teachers’ Day was approaching, Wang Jianming, secretary of JSOU Party Committee visited JSOU teachers' representatives through the form of forum and interview. Secretaries from Party branches and relevant schools attended the interview as well.
Wang Jianming first visited teachers with Ph.D degrees from School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, School of Environment and Ecology and School of Public Administration and highly praise their dedication and outstanding achievements, and hereby extended his best wishes to them and other faculty in the schools as a whole.
Wang said, JSOU would strive for providing excellent working and living environment to high-end talents and create a friendly atmosphere for academic talents. He hoped the talents could take the leading role of academic studies, actively promote the transformation of scientific research achievements, in order to make greater contributions to the development of high quality JSOU and realize the goal of making JSOU a people's university in Jiangsu.
On September 10th, Wang Jianming went to the School of Business to have a forum with teachers' representatives. More than 20 teachers, including School leaders, department heads and teachers with doctor degree attended. Wang, on behalf of JSOU Party Committee, congratulated everyone on Teachers' Day and welcomed the newly recruited teachers. At the meeting, Wang affirmed the achievements of School of Business in the first half of the year, and emphasized several key points for the next stage.
At the forum, Zhou Xiaojun, vice dean of School of Business reported the progress of the core work in the last semester. Teachers' representatives presented the progress from the aspects of teaching, scientific research, and ideological curriculum construction.
