Recently, Dr. Hu Wenting, a teacher from School of Business was granted a national invention patent named "An Online Course Learning Evaluation Method Based on Eye Movement Information" by China National Intellectual Property Administration. Dr. Hu’s patent is the second approved invention patent declared by teachers in School of Business.
The invention discloses a kind of online course evaluation method based on eye movement information. It divides online course content into knowledge granularity and calculates students' attention to different knowledge granularity content. Then it dynamically judges whether the attention is within the threshold range, measures whether students are interested in the knowledge points, and effectively evaluates and optimizes students' learning effect in the process of online learning.
The invention expands current online course learning evaluation method, takes eye movement information as the quantitative basis for evaluating students' online learning quality and breaks through the inherent mode of traditional evaluation system. There is no doubt that it will guide and promote students' online course learning quality evaluation.
School of Business will provide more opportunities to accelerate the further transformation of patent achievements and encourage teachers to produce more high-quality research achievements.
