On September 29th, JSOU launched the "Quality Improvement Project" on Gupinggang Campus. School of Media and Design was the first to start the project.
Zhang Xiao, JSOU vice president, delivered a speech. Zhou Wei interpreted the "Outlook on Quality of JSOU" and "1542 Teaching Quality Assurance System of JSOU". Lu Baohua, director of Office of Teaching Quality Management, introduced the teaching quality monitoring system for JSOU based on a platform data analysis perspective, and demonstrated how the online teaching supervision worked. Teachers from School of Media and Design and Chen Guangkui from Office of Teaching Quality Management attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Jiang Chunyan, dean of School of Media and Design.
Zhang Xiao praised the strength of School of Media and Design in vocational specialty construction, student cultivation, teaching design, and proposed that the Project was of great significance to School of Media and Design in its transformation and the process of bachelor degree evaluation. She pointed out that teachers needed to change their teaching philosophy, innovate teaching methods, improve teaching ability and renew teaching quality views.
Zhou Wei presented an interpretation of teaching quality assurance system. She started her speech from 2 aspects, why JSOU discussed the concept of quality and what quality standards JSOU should establish. Subsequently, Zhou explained in detail what JSOU 1542 Teaching Quality Assurance System stand for.
Lu Baohua briefly introduced the work of Office of Teaching Quality Management. He chose two courses, Introduction to Digital Media Art and A Brief History of Chinese and Western Art as examples to demonstrate the inspection system, helping teachers to understand the monitoring points of online teaching.
