Recently, the 2021 Community Education Teacher Skills Competition in Jiangsu Province, sponsored by JSOU and Jiangsu Social Education Service and Guidance Center, was successfully closed. The competition which lasted for 7 months, from June to December, consisted of 3 categories, namely skills course, general education course and project planning.
Cities in Jiangsu, such as Suzhou and Yangzhou, valued the competition and held preliminary selection contests before the provincial competition was held. Each contestant carefully prepared and showed their ability during the contest. Based on the preliminary competition, a total of 57 contestants entered the provincial competition. Due to the impact of Covid-19 pandemic, the provincial competition was conducted by video presentation.
The provincial competition was evaluated by community education experts, such as staff from education administrative departments of cities in Jiangsu, and teachers from open universities outside Jiangsu. After the contest, 3 first prize winners, 10 second prize winners, 20 third prize winners, 24 excellence awards and 8 organization awards were selected.
The competition has laid a solid foundation for cultivating teams of high-quality community education teachers and further deepening the meaning of community education.
