From October 24th to November 24th, 3 projects on study tour finally passed the certification by Jiangsu Lifelong Education Credit Bank Administrative Center (shorten as Credit Bank).
The Credit Bank worked together with JSOU Social Education Department and Jiangsu Social Education Service and Guidance Center. 5 experts formed the certification expert team, namely Xia Yanjing, professor and dean of Art Institute in Nanjing University of the Arts, Tian Zhaoyuan, professor from East China Normal University, Wang Xiaoyang, professor from Southeast University, Wang Yinghai, professor and president of Suzhou Industrial Park Institute of Vocational Technology, Wei Julong, secretary general of Jiangsu Education Foundation and Lu Fuyi, former director of JSOU Organization Department.
According to working procedure, the Credit Bank published the new version of Certification Guidebook for non-academic education achievements, which collected certification materials from 6 dimensions, such as target positioning, assessment and evaluation, learning content, quality control, supportive services and teaching staff management. Credit Bank conducted preliminary review and combined the opinions from experts, and therefore issued the evaluation criteria.
From November 22nd to 24th, on the basis of previous material review, experts went to the project sites to inspect tour routes. They listened to the on-site reports, consulted relevant documents, objectively evaluated the advantages and disadvantages of each project, and gave suggestions for improvement and further development. After review and discussion, tour of Shajiabang Communist and Environmental New Classroom, Industrial Study Tour, and Mudu Ancient Flavor passed the certification. Learning outcomes of these 3 projects can be certified as 12 learning hours and saved in the Credit Bank. Learners can get their certification reports online.
The successful certification of 3 study tour projects confirmed the quality of these study tours in content, learning requirement and teaching staff, which can be well attached with academic courses in terms of Communist study, technological tour and intangible cultural heritages. Therefore, the certified social education courses would greatly improve the quality of social education.
