On May 12th, Vice President Zhang Xiao led a team to visit the Institute of Environmental Planning and Design of Nanjing University for an on-site investigation. Gan Fangqun, the Dean of the School of Environmental Ecology, Ye Haiyue, the Deputy Secretary of the general branch, Qin Pinzhu, the Vice Dean, and the directors of departments, Huang Zhaoqin and Tang Peng participated. Vice President Zhang Xiao introduced the history of JSOU, and its school-running, talent team construction, strategic planning etc. As a new model university, Jiangsu Open University features scientific research, talent training, cultural inheritance innovation, social service, international exchange and cooperation. According to the development planning, JSOU strives to promote scientific research, strengthen cooperation and exchanges with first-class enterprises, declare research project jointly, and carry forward a low carbon campus construction with the help of the experts of the institute. Lu Chaoyang, president of the Institute extended a warm welcome to Zhang Xiao and her delegation, summarized the basic of their previous cooperation, expressing his willingness of comprehensive and in-depth cooperation with JSOU in scientific research, education, internship and employment. Executive Vice President Wu Junfeng shared the institute’s development, its achievement in environmental consulting, environmental engineering and scientific research. Gan Fangqun introduced their research team, professional construction, internship, employment and work plan. After the meeting, they visited the sample bank of Jiangsu agricultural soil pollution in-depth investigation and traceability projects, exhibition hall and laboratory.
Relying on Nanjing University, the centennial famous university, the Institute of Environmental Planning and Design has been conducting a systematic research and development revolving around government policy , environment simulation, pollution control, wining many state and provincial awards. The institute has reached strategic cooperation with more than 500 enterprises across the world. This survey has laid a good foundation for further promoting the school-enterprise cooperation.
