On September 8th, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) announced 2022 NSFC Youth Project and General Project lists, in which three projects were headed by JSOU’s faculty: “Study on Nutrient Load and Release Mechanism of Slow and Controlled Release Fertilizers with Metal Organic Frameworks (MOF)” by Dr. Wu Ke of School of Environment and Ecology (SEE), “Methylation and Bioconcentration Effect of Isotope Tracing Atmospheric Mercury Deposition in Rice-Fish System” by Dr. Du Buyun of SEE, and “Research on Noise Label Screening Assisted Learning Method for Real Noise Data Sets” by Dr. Zhang Qian of School of Information and Electrical Engineering.
In recent years, JSOU has implemented “Strengthening School with Talents” and “Developing School with Scientific Research” projects. Each college takes the employment of doctoral talents as its top priority, creates favorable conditions for scientific research, and supports doctoral teachers applying for national projects, achieving remarkable results. In 2022, 85% projects sponsored by NSFC applied by JSOU’s faculty were youth projects, which reflected the enthusiasm and potential of doctors in scientific research and proved that they are the backbone of the development of JSOU.
