To explore a new mode of cooperation, on October 28-29, Vice President Zhang Xiao led a team including Gan Fangqun, the Dean of the School of Environment and Ecology, Yang Dan, the Deputy Secretary, Feng Panjing from the school office, Ye Haiyue, the Deputy Director of the Discipline Construction, and Qin Qiong from Academic Affairs Office, to Heqiao in Yixing for field research and visited four township enterprises.
On the morning of October 28th, at the symposium with officers from the local government, Vice President Zhang introduced Jiangsu Open University, especially the preponderant disciplines which are highly consistent with the environmental protection industry in Heqiao. Both sides reached a preliminary cooperation intention based on talent training, scientific research, innovation, ecological environmental protection and digital rural construction. Meanwhile, she expected that Heqiao Town can provide high-quality jobs for outstanding graduates of Jiangsu Open University, and build a bridge for university-government-enterprise cooperation for talent exchange.
On the afternoon of October 28, visitors came to Jiangsu Lingzhi Environmental Protection Co., Ltd., Yixing Aohua Auto Parts Co., Ltd., and Ruisheng Environment Co., Ltd.. They visited the production and assembly site of Jiangsu Lingzhi Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. Representatives of the three enterprises made a detailed introduction on the origin of their own development, reform status, technology and other employment needs, and expressed their expectations for cooperation with Jiangsu Open University on human resources supply, improvement of on-the-job staff academic skills, physical research and development, scientific research and innovation. In view of the needs of enterprises, Zhang Xiao said that as a talent supplier, JSOU will actively promote talent training to meet the need of accurate docking, innovate in post training for students, improve the talent training curriculum system. The university has been and will continue to be committed to realizing a seamless docking between graduates’ quality and enterprise demand. The two sides expressed their desire for further cooperation in the joint training of talents, the establishment of training bases for student practice, the coordinated development of scientific research, and the effective development of graduate recruitment.
On October 29, Vice President Zhang Xiao led the team to visit Jiangsu Jindu Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. During the meeting, Zhang Xiao said that only by truly going to the production line of enterprises can the practical mode of university, government, enterprise and industry cooperation be explored.
