To implement “The Opinions on Strengthening the National Defense Education Under New Situation”, carry our military training for 2022 freshmen with high standard, high quality, ensure a more scientific and normative military training, improve students' physical quality, enhance student cohesion, JSCVC held a training mobilization on the morning of October 8. Vice Secretary and President Jin Lixia and Vice President Niu Yutao attended the meeting. Directors of the General Party branches, instructors and all students of grade 2021 and 2022 were present at the meeting.
Jin Lixia said that military training is a part of national defense construction, and also the fundamental task of ideological and political education for the purpose of cultivating socialist builders and successors with all-round development in morality, intelligence, physique, beauty and labor. To give better play to the comprehensive education function of military training, she put forward three demands to students: first, obey the commands with strict enforcement of orders and prohibitions, build yourself as a soldier, inspire yourself as a soldier, restrain yourself with military standards and cultivate strict organizational discipline; second, carry forward the will and character of hard work, cultivate a sense of overall situation and collectivism, fight for a sonorous future with hard work ; third, cultivate your feelings, establish the ideal, let the great banner of patriotism fly high in our hearts with our dedication to the motherland, the society and the people.
Niu Yutao expressed his hope that through military training, students should learn and master basic military theoretical knowledge and military skills, enhance national security awareness, learn from the character of excellent instructors, establish a revolutionary outlook on life and values, understand the special ideological and moral education and develop noble spirit.
Zhang Xiwen and Zhao Shuai, student representatives from the School of Architectural Engineering and Business School, solemnly swore to all the instructors and teachers that they would: obey orders and commands; temper will and quality with strict self-discipline and bring good character developed during military training to future study, life and professional practice, confront difficulties, meet challenges bravely, learn to live, learn to work, and learn to behave.
Instructor representatives Liu Huadong and Zhu Tao spoke. They stressed that the purpose of the military training is to enhance the comprehensive quality of college students, improve their awareness of national defense, temper their thinking, will and quality, and strengthen their physical and mental health. On behalf of all the training instructors, they promised: first, organize safe and scientific training with care for students; second, ensure good results with unified standard and strict management; third, lead students with good military image; and fourth, overcome difficulties to get a satisfactory conclusion, and build up confidence and determination to produce excellent military results.
