In order to welcome the 2022 freshmen, on the evening of October 5th, the 2022 Freshmen Gala was held in the Sports and Art Hall of Yingtian Campus. University leaders, deans, heads of various departments, teacher representatives and more than 7,000 other online and offline audiences watched the performance together.
The party is divided into three chapters: Creating Glory with Passionate Youth, Being Brave Pioneers to Live up to the Mission and Forging Ahead to Write a Magnificent Chapter.
The party began in a magnificent and inspiring atmosphere created by the flag show of the student union and various clubs. The song and dance I Want to Say It to the World brought by the students from the College Student Art Center sounded the horn of youth and opened the first chapter of the party. The aerobics Infinite Energy Declaration by School of Architectural Engineering, the guitar playing Lonely One, the song and dance We Are Youth by the School of Environmental Ecology showed enthusiastic youth. The teachers and students from School of Information Engineering performed the “Sea of Stars” together to show their ideals and ambition. “In the Name of Design” by the School of Design displayed their culture and spirit in the form of music, poetry and painting.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Youth League of China. The song With Me brought by our Youth Volunteers Association displayed their determination to hold high the torch of faith in the new era and practice the spirit of dedication, friendship, mutual assistance and progress with practical actions. The dance Flash as You by the School of Art is the true portrayal of every generation of young people who bear their mission in the previous century. The melodrama Ideal Over China selected by the Business School tells the glorious story of the foundation of Southwest Associated University. Representatives of the freshmen recited the poem Youth Confessions on the Road of Rejuvenation, expressing their ideal and faith in illuminating the road of national rejuvenation with the energy of youth.
The dance There Are so Many People in this World brought by our young teachers and the chorus Song of the Phoenix by old, middle aged and young staff showed the spirit of JSCVC on the development road of the high-level open university. The party was pushed to a climax by the choir singing A Generation of Our Powerful Nation.
After years of hardship, in the harvest season, JSCVC is full of pride to welcome the vigorous young students. Looking back at the past and looking forward to the future, we will forge ahead and write a magnificent chapter.
