On October 15th, full- and part-time teachers from the Department of Culture and Leisure, School of Art and Health, JSOU were invited by the National Education Calligraphy and Painting Association (ECPA) to attend the opening ceremony of its Select Calligraphy Works Exhibition at Nanjing University of the Arts.
169 calligraphy works were displayed on the exhibition, all created by staff members, academicians, experts, professors and calligraphy educators from education system all over the country. The works are endowed with obvious theme, far-reaching meaning, and rich connotation, with strong characteristics of the times. Creators interpret the core spirit of traditional Chinese culture with their brushstrokes, record the spirit and belief of the Communist Party of China members, express the beauty of the mountains and rivers of China, and demonstrate the magnificence of the new era and new journey.
As a counseling member of ECPA, JSOU has participated in various activities of the Association in recent years including high-standard exhibitions and high-level academic communications. The collaboration with sister universities and research institutes has enhanced the research and teaching ability of new-come teachers of JSOU, as well as graced our school with a fine spirit.
