Recently, the results of selection of National Excellent Online Course of Vocational Education in 2022 were announced. Two courses hosted by JSOU teachers, Fundamentals of Economics and Commercial Photography, were listed.
In July this year, the Ministry of Education issued the Notice on the Selection of National Excellent Online Course of Vocational Education in 2022, and Jiangsu Department of Education deployed the application details accordingly. Led by the Department of Discipline Construction, our university submited 11 courses to evaluation, in which Fundamentals of Economics by Dong Xinling from the Business School and Commercial Photography by Huan Wang from the School of Art and Health were recommend to the final round. The two courses were also recognized as the first batch of excellent online courses of vocational education in Jiangsu during the 14th Five-Year Plan.
In the past years, JSOU has made achievements in national-level curriculum construction projects such as national first-class undergraduate courses, national excellent online open courses, and curriculum ideological and political demonstration projects of the Ministry of Education. The selection of the two courses once again proves the outcome of our university’s connotation construction. The Department of Discipline Construction will accelerate the connection between curriculum content and emerging industries in China, and combine it with the characteristics of industrial economy and ecological culture in Jiangsu Province. By optimizing the construction mechanisms for school-level, provincial-level and national-level excellent course, we will steadfastly head for an even higher quality and higher level development of online course construction.
