Delegation of JSOU Participates in China-ASEAN Higher Education Cooperation and Exchange Week

From May 8th to 12th, China-ASEAN Higher Education Cooperation and Exchange Week was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Professor Hou Xinyu and Associate Professor Ye Haiyue of JSOU respectively led delegation to the event and went to Universiti Teknologi MARA for inter-school exchanges.

Before the visit, President Cui Xinyou said that the purpose of the visit is to strengthen the scientific research cooperation and exchange with countries along the Belt and Road Initiative, promote the establishment of overseas learning centers, and further deepen our cooperation with other Asian universities.

During the visit, Professor Hou Xinyu, on behalf of our school, signed the Proposal of Industry-University-Research Global Research Center with the ACEC Association to jointly build the Belt and Road Initiative Industry-University-Research Cooperation Base; Jiangsu Open University Overseas Learning Center was established at Universiti Teknologi MARA, and its opening ceremony was held. At the sub-forum of International Talent Innovation and Cooperation Training, Associate Professor Fang Yubo of the School of Foreign Languages exchanged and shared ideas on the construction of high-quality curriculum resources, the overseas export of curriculum resources and the construction of overseas learning centers. At the sub-forum of International Industry-University-Research Cooperation, Dr. Yuan Wei from the School of Architecture and Engineering gave an academic report on the research fields of bridge damage and plastic hinge characteristics.

The delegation also visited the Ministry of Human Resources of Malaysia, Multimedia University of Malaysia and the School of International Education of Universiti Teknologi MARA, and had in-depth talks with the two universities on issues such as cooperation in joint programs, student exchange and international scientific research, and reached initial cooperation intentions in the fields of international talent training and scientific research platform co-construction.
