In order to thoroughly study and implement the guidelines of the 20th CPC National Congress and General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourse on digital reform and vocational education, earnestly implement the guiding opinions of relevant documentation. From April 18 to 20, 2023, Zhongyifeng Intelligent Manufacturing Site Observation Seminar and Launch Meeting for Textbook Compilation of Typical Application Cases, a conference organized by Jiangsu Construction Education Association together with Jiangsu Construction Vocational Education Industry Steering Committee was held in Suzhou. Jiang Yulong and Chen Weiyu, backbone teachers from School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, attended the meeting.
Focusing on the exploration, research, development and training of human resources in the construction industry, the association is the most influential professional social organization in the industry in Jiangsu Province, providing diversified training services and customized training solutions at multi-levels, through multi-channels for the government, enterprises, colleges and training institutions.
Many influential leaders, industry experts and teachers in the field of intelligent construction from universities and enterprises inside and outside the province were invited to the seminar which aims to build up a platform for communication in the industry. At the opening ceremony, Ji Xun, former deputy inspector of Jiangsu Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and Ding Shunxiang, chairman of Jiangsu Construction Education Association, delivered speeches successively.
Professor Wang Wei from Jiangsu Urban and Rural Construction Vocational College talked on the subject of intelligent construction against the background of digital transformation. Revolving around the intelligent architecture in the time of digitalization, he also elaborated on professional building methods, talents cultivation of his college. Later, Dr. Wang Congjun made a speech entitled Intelligent Construction Development Background and Practice, providing in-depth interpretation of their 11-year experience in the field of intelligent construction. According to him, traditional construction industry is in urgent need of digital transformation which requires a huge supply of relevant human resources. Colleges are expected to cultivate professionals, to promote the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry.
This participation will help our teachers to expand the vision in the field of advanced technology application, enhance their professional level and teaching ability and promote the integration of industry and education.
