JSOU Celebrate 2023 Homecoming Day

On November 4th, alumni from all over the country gathered at JSOU to celebrate 2023 Homecoming Day . University leaders, heads and liaison officers of alumni associations, alumni representatives, leaders of various departments, representatives of teachers, retired faculty members and students participated in the event, which was presided over by Niu Yutao, Deputy Secretary of JSOU’s Party Committee.

Jing Xuan, Secretary of JSOU’s Party Committee, extended a warm welcome to the alumni. He said that since the establishment of Jiangsu Radio and TV University in 1979, the University has undergone earth-shaking changes. With the core spirit of fostering extraordinariness in the ordinary, the level of JSOU has been continuously improved, and its comprehensive capability strengthened. Until now, the University has successively trained more than 1 million talents for the local economy, contributing valuable strength to the development of Jiangsu Province. The Third Party Congress has drawn a grand blueprint for building a high-level open university with four major actions and ten major foci and marks the new journey. The future of JSOU will only be more brilliant.

Ding Rongyu, President of JSOU, said that the homecoming day is a platform for interaction between alumni and the University to harvest mutual benefit. In the future, the University will further strengthen its service to alumni, enhance communication, promote cooperation, and build a high-quality alumni service platform. Only in this way can alumni and the University achieve new achievements together in the new era.

 

Song Haibo, CEO of Nantong Nengda Co., Ltd. expressed his gratitude for the University to give him a chance for continued education and continuous help to his career. Liu Yunzhi, a staff member of the government of Donghuji Town, Lianshui County, thanked the University for providing a broad platform to improve his learning ability. Han Weizhan, General Manager of Nanjing Yingtian HR Co., Ltd. shared his stories about the teachers and classmates who had accompanied and helped him and thanked the University for witnessing his growth.

For over 40 years, JSOU has nurtured one class after another. To honor the alumni, President Ding presented awards to the winners of the Writing Contest My Years at JSOU. Alumni generously donated money to show their care about education and repay to the society. Current students presented poems, wishing the University a prosperous future. In the end, all the teachers, students and alumni sang the school song together.

In the afternoon, the Alumni Association of each school launched a variety of homecoming activities such as sports, forums, workshops, and visit to the new campus.
