Under the guidance of Jiangsu Rural Revitalization Administration, together with the Jiangsu Rural Economic Industry Guidance Service Center and Nanjing Agricultural University, JSOU has undertaken a third-party investigation and evaluation of the implementation of the 2023 provincial action plan for rural revitalization. JSOU’s School of Rural Revitalization led a project team made up of different departments, schools, and county open universities to conduct questionnaire surveys and on-site inspections and evaluations in over 200 villages and 5,000 rural households across nine cities.
Research teams have traveled to each sample village and select key rural households for the survey, plus field visits and face-to-face communication with them, so as to record the real situation of rural households. Through talks with grassroots cadres, they also collected practical results, typical cases, problems, and policy needs of the action plan.
This is the second year that JSOU undertook the task. The implementation of this project has effectively strengthened the relationship and connection within the open university system, demonstrated the functions and advantages of open universities in serving rural revitalization, bettered the exchange and collaboration between open universities and local governments, and provided solid support for Jiangsu's comprehensive promotion of rural revitalization and the construction of a powerful province of agriculture.
